ABOUT FORUM
Journey of Duqm Forum
It is an economic event established in 2013 to be a platform that brings together decision-makers, investors, experts, and civil and civil society institutions to discuss the economic developments taking place in the city of Duqm in particular and the local economic affairs in general. 2013 and the second edition in 2015, the third edition in 2017 and the fourth edition in 2019 , and now the fifth edition is planned to be held in 2022.
Role of Duqm Forum in the Development
In the past 4 editions, the forum managed to discuss the strategic areas, among which the most prominent were the role of companies in succeeding employing local work forces, corporate social responsibility, the economic diversity policy in the Sultanate and knowledge of smart cities. To discuss the areas, specialized sessions were conducted, inviting industry experts and economic policy makers with a large number of attendees to the forum. Investors and entrepreneurs from local and international business had attended in every edition of the forum with a wide coverage from the local and foreign media.
Forum Vision
The organizers of the forum continue to achieve the vision, by being the first platform to speak about the economic renaissance of Duqm and the future vision of Oman 2040, which includes the influential experts and hosts specialists to discuss strategic areas aimed at enhancing the business environment and promoting Duqm and encouraging investment in it.
