There are three islands in the Wilayat of Mahout, the most important of which is “Mahout” Island, which is surrounded by “mangrove” trees on all sides, and “Al-Raak” Island, which has a natural view and the wonderful island of “Abb”, which is characterized by the presence of large numbers of seabirds such as seagulls and other types of migratory birds. As for the coasts of Wilayat Ma hout, the most important of them are Sweihil Knasa, Ras Ruwais, Al-Khalaf, Nabtot, Ras Al-Zakhr and Ras Khabat Sarab.
Bar Al Hikman Beach is considered one of the most prominent tourist site in the Sultanate. Bar Al Hikman Beach is about 450 kilometers away from Mus cat Governorate, where it can be reached from the Wilayat of Duqm towards the Wilayat of Mahout, the trip takes approximately two hours (165 kilometers from Duqm). Bar Al Hikman Peninsula includes many coastal and inland plains made up of salt (Al Sabkha), and some salt lakes that have a unique geological nature. It also includes a vast sabkha made of sediments consisting of salt, sand, and sand that collected due to floods, this sabkha extends about 29 kilometers into the Arabian Sea, southeast of Wilayat Mahout, and sometimes when the tide occurs, the sea water exceeds few meters, leaving shallow lakes that can evaporate rapidly in the summer, this evaporation results in salt deposits that are suitable for commercial use for various uses
